UEFA has announced the appointment of an Italian referee to officiate the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, which will take place next Wednesday at the Parc des Princes at 10 PM Cairo time.

The match will be led by Italian referee David Massa, assisted by assistant referees Chiro Carbone and Stefano Alasio, while Maurizio Mariani has been appointed as the fourth official.

In the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) room, Aleandro Di Paolo and Daniele Chiffi will be responsible for reviewing the officiating decisions to ensure the match proceeds according to precise officiating standards.

This clash is considered one of the highlights of the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League, as Paris Saint-Germain, led by Luis Enrique, seeks a valuable home win, while Liverpool, under the guidance of Arne Slot, hopes to achieve a positive result ahead of the return leg at Anfield.
