Surprise Regarding Attendance at the Ittihad and Al-Akhaddood Match
Mohammed Al-Sheikh, the former media director and spokesperson for the Saudi Football Federation, made television statements about a surprise regarding the fan attendance at the Ittihad and Al-Akhaddood match.
More than 45,000 fans attended the match, which took place as part of the 23rd round of the Roshan Saudi League and ended in a 1-1 draw.
Al-Sheikh said on the program "Action with Walid": "I would like to salute Ittihad fans for the attendance of 45,000 fans at the match, but at the same time, I have some criticism of them."
He continued: "The incomplete stands and the delay in attendance forced the club management to set the ticket price at only two riyals."
He concluded: "What happened is embarrassing for the club, the league, and the Professional League Association as well; it is difficult for tickets to be priced at only two riyals!"
