Diaby Sends Message to Al-Ittihad Fans
Moussa Diaby, the star of Al-Ittihad, sent a message to the club's fans after the draw yesterday, Sunday, against Al-Akhidood.
The match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Akhidood, which took place yesterday as part of the 23rd round of the Saudi League, ended in a positive draw of 1-1.
Diaby stated in remarks to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper: "This type of match can happen, and today we did not perform well."
He added: "I hope we achieve victory in the next match because we need to get back to collecting 3 points again."
He continued: "Today was not an easy match, as Al-Akhidood played defensively all the time, which was not easy, but we must maintain our focus."
He further noted: "There is no easy match; sometimes we can secure three points, and sometimes we cannot."
He concluded: "I want to tell Al-Ittihad fans to stay calm; we are at the top of the standings with a 6-point lead, and the league is not over yet. I hope Al-Ittihad becomes the champion in the end."
