Guardiola: Marmoush Does Not Have This Aspect, and I'm Happy with the Win

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola appeared in a press statement after the 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the 27th round of the English Premier League.

The coach said: "I am really happy with the win and the three points because we needed them; it was a tough task. The second half was open because we didn't finish the game in the first half when we had many clear chances. With the quality we have, you need to take your chances... We knew in the second half we would suffer, but we did it. The players fought a lot, and I am really happy because playing here is always difficult."

Regarding Erling Haaland's disallowed goal: "The referee was much quicker in disallowing the goal than the VAR, that's for sure. So he was smart and quick..."

He continued: "It was the way we fought and the wingers, once again - Savio and Jeremy Doku were fantastic! I am really happy with the result and of course, we did some really, really good things. The young players, [Abdelkader] Khusainov, made an incredible impact in the game, everyone including Dias, as Nunez played well at right-back - overall, we really had a good game, really."

On Jeremy Doku: "He is a threat to the opponent, he is good in the final third, and he provided an incredible assist in the first half. In football, when a player dribbles against another, you open up space, everything..."

He added: "Tottenham is one of the best teams that defend deep I have ever seen, coach Ange Postecoglou is exceptional, Kulusevski and Son, and Spence on the bench, and when they come on with their impact, the players in the first part were also fantastic. They are a great team!"

He concluded: "Omar Marmoush still does not exactly have what we need to do in some areas in our pressing."
