Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya team achieved a tough victory over Al-Qasim with a score of (2-1) in the match that brought them together in the Round of 16 of the Iraqi Cup, securing a place in the quarterfinals, where they will face Al-Najaf team in the upcoming match.

The match started cautiously from both teams, with Al-Qasim relying on defensive formation while trying to exploit counter-attacks, while Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya pressed early in search of taking the lead.

In the 28th minute, "Saad Abdulameer" managed to open the scoring for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, giving the Hawks the lead in the match.

However, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's joy did not last long, as defender "Ruslan Hanoon" received a direct red card in the 32nd minute, leaving the team to complete the match with one less player, giving Al-Qasim the chance to come back in the score, but the defense of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and their goalkeeper maintained the lead until the end of the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, Al-Qasim tried to exploit the numerical disadvantage of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and intensified their attacks, but the Hawks' defense was present, and in the 70th minute, Saad Abdulameer returned to confirm his team's superiority by scoring the second goal.

Al-Qasim continued to pressure in the final minutes and succeeded in reducing the gap through "Saif Rashid" in the 90+5 minute of stoppage time, but the time was not enough to equalize, and the referee blew his whistle announcing Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's qualification to the next round.
