Mido Advises Yaissle on Optimally Utilizing Mahrez
Sports analyst Ahmed Hossam Mido advised Al-Ahly's head coach Matthias Jaissle on how to optimally employ the Algerian Riyad Mahrez with the team.
Mido confirmed that Mahrez is no longer suitable to play as a winger in major teams currently, noting that this position requires great speed, which the player no longer possesses.
Mido believes the best solution is to use Mahrez as a second striker with fewer defensive duties, leaning towards the right side but not as a traditional winger.
Mido emphasized that if the German coach is smart, he should give Mahrez greater offensive freedom by employing him as a second striker within the team.
It is noteworthy that Mahrez did not participate in the match between Al-Ahly and Al-Qadisiyah, which ended with Al-Raqi winning 4-1, due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
