Wednesday 26-02-2025
The Appeals Committee of the Spanish Football Federation announced the acceptance of the appeal submitted by Real Betis against the red card received by their Brazilian striker Antony during the match against Getafe in the last round of La Liga.

Antony was sent off in the fourth minute of stoppage time after a tackle on a Getafe player, prompting Betis management to file an official appeal to overturn the penalty.

After reviewing the case, the Appeals Committee decided to cancel the red card, allowing the Brazilian striker to participate in the upcoming match against Real Madrid on March 1 as part of the La Liga competition.

It is worth noting that Antony joined Real Betis during the last winter transfer window on loan from Manchester United, and he has managed to deliver impressive performances, participating in 6 matches across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
