Real Madrid's position on contracting Van Dyck
The Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed the fact that Real Madrid's interest in joining the Dutchman Virgil Van Dyck, Liverpool defender, during the next summer transfer window.
Van Dyck's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025, amid reports indicating that he can leave for free, as he did not reach an agreement with the English club on renewal.
But according to the newspaper "Marca", there is no intention for Real Madrid to sign Van Dyck, as the club management denied these reports, stressing that the player is not within the team's future plans.
The newspaper added that Real Madrid does not want to enter into negotiations similar to what happened with Davis, who took advantage of the royal interest to raise the value of his offer with Bayern Munich.
The club believes that the defensive line is stable with the presence of Raul Asensio, the return of David Alaba, and the waiting for Edir Milliteao to recover, making the contract with a new defender for a short period not a priority at the present time.
