German international referee Daniel Sibert sparked widespread controversy during the decisive confrontation between Al -Ittihad and Al -Hilal in the Saudi Professional League, where opinions differed on his arbitration decisions. Arbitration expert Fahd Al -Merdasi presented his analysis to perform the ruling, stressing that his decisions were in their entirety correct, except for one mistake that should have been taken with greater firmness.

According to Al -Morsadasi, the referee made many correct decisions, the most prominent of which was in the 20th minute when he refused to calculate a penalty in favor of Al -Ittihad after friction between Al -Hilal defender Renan Lodi and Al -Ittihad striker Musa Diabi, considering that the overlap was normal and there was no clear focal for the feet of the dean's player.

He also supported the referee’s decision in the 48th minute not to give Al -Hilal a penalty after Marcus Leonardo fell after the intervention of defender Danilo Pereira, as there was no mistake that required punishment.

The controversy over the arbitration did not stop at the cases of penalties, as the 70th minute witnessed the cancellation of two consecutive goals, one for the crescent and the other for the federation, due to the players in clear infiltration situations, which Al -Merdasi acknowledged as an accurate decision of German referee. He also pointed to the validity of calculating the fourth goal of the federation in the 86th minute, explaining that the overlap between Hossam Awar and Malikum was not a payment that required cancellation of the goal.

Among the controversial shots were in the 58th minute, when the ball collided with the arm of Al -Hilal defender Ali Al -Blaihi after a powerful shot from Hossam Awar, but Al -Merdasi made it clear that the decision not to calculate a penalty was correct, due to the lack of intent to touch the ball by hand.

But at the same time, he criticized the referee's decision in the 90th+2 minute after publicizing only a yellow card against Al -Hilal player Abdullah Al -Hamdan, despite his violent intervention on Danilo Pereira, stressing that the intervention was worth directly due to the use of excessive force.

This meeting re -shed light on the arbitration performance in the Saudi League, especially in the major matches that are witnessing intense competition. With Al -Merdasi's evaluation of the performance of the referee Sibert, the controversy remains on the extent of the impact of the arbitration decisions on the results of the matches, which makes the need for arbitration assistance techniques more important to ensure justice in such decisive confrontations.
