Barcelona announces that Araujo has undergone surgery
The Spanish club Barcelona announced in an official statement that Uruguayan star Ronald Araujo will undergo surgery in the next few days.
Araujo had suffered an injury with the Uruguayan national team in Copa America.
The club said: “The tests conducted at the Juan Gamper Sports City on our player Ronald Araujo showed that the player suffers from an injury to the tendon of the right knee.”
p>The club added: “The player will undergo surgery in the next few days. When the procedure is completed, there will be another medical update.”

According to many press reports, Araujo will be absent for a period between 4-5 months.
