Huge fines for Saudi clubs in the AFC Champions League

The Asian Football Confederation imposed financial penalties on Saudi clubs participating in the AFC Champions League, after registering several violations during its tournament, which affected the financial rewards due to them.

The journalist Badr Al -Abid affirmed that the imposed fines are directly deducted from the performance rewards that the clubs receive, which reduced the total amounts guaranteed to them. The fines came as follows:

Al Hilal: 27,500 dollars

Al -Ahly: $ 6,000

Victory: $ 3,750

Despite the fines, Saudi clubs participating in the championship guaranteed large sums of money after calculating the discounts, as Al -Ahly issued the list with the highest reward:

1. Al -Ahly: 1,694,000 dollars

2. Al Hilal: 1,672,500 dollars

3. Victory: 1,496,250 dollars

4. Cooperation: $ 790,000

These fines are financially pressure on clubs, affecting their future budgets and plans. These sanctions are part of the discipline policies imposed by the AFC to ensure adherence to the regulations.
