The Saudi Federation responds strongly to the rumor of "choosing the rulers"

In a decisive move to confront the circulating rumors, the Saudi Football Association issued an official statement denied the validity of the rumors about the role of Manuel Navarro, head of the referees committee, in appointing foreign referees to the Saudi Roshen League matches.

The response came after the circulation of news stating that the appointment of rulers from South America is based on personal interventions, which the Union denied altogether.

According to what was reported by Al -Sharq Al -Awsat newspaper, the Saudi Federation’s Media Department confirmed that the appointment of foreign rulers is subject to accurate criteria that depend on the elite classifications, with an advantage for European rulers, followed by the rulers of South America, then the rulers of the rest of the continental federations according to the available dates.

This mechanism guarantees the participation of referees at the highest level of technical efficiency and international experience, ensuring justice of competition inside the stadiums.

The Media Department stressed that all procedures related to the assignment of foreign rulers are carried out through official and direct communication with the competent committees within the continental and local federations, without any external interference.

She categorically denied any role of Navarro's wife, who works with the International Football Association (FIFA), in choosing referees, stressing that all appointments are subject to transparent criteria that take into account the quality of arbitration and the reputation of the championship.

The Saudi Federation's response was not only limited to negation, but also announced legal measures against everyone who promoted these allegations, considering that this false news harms the reputation of Saudi football and offends the integrity of the competitions.

He stressed that the competent authorities will pursue those responsible for publishing such rumors to ensure the protection of the Saudi arbitration.

In a related context, the Media Department denied the authenticity of the news that spread over the appointment of the Spanish referee, the Manzano generation to manage the Al -Hilal and Al -Ittihad match, expected on Saturday in the 21st round of the Roshen League.

She emphasized that the official announcement of the arbitration team will take place on the specified date, according to the procedures followed since the beginning of the season.
