The Iraqi police team achieved a deserved victory over the Emirati Ain (2-0) in the eighth round of the AFC Champions League for the Elite Champions League, but this victory was not sufficient to qualify for the next round, as the two teams bid the championship officially.

The police team entered the match with the aim of achieving a positive result and conservation of face after it was officially released from the championship, and although the result did not affect the two teams, the police team performed great throughout the match.

After a first balanced run with a simple preference for the police, the Syrian player Mahmoud Al -Mawas succeeded in breaking the draw by scoring the first police goal in the 50th minute, after a great shot inside the penalty area.

After the Al Ain team delayed the result, he tried to return in the match by scoring the equalizer, but he failed and missed many opportunities through the course of the second half, from the other side, the police team tried to strengthen the result by scoring a second goal.

And in the time instead of lost, the police managed to add the second goal in the 94th minute, through the Brazilian alternative "Lucas Santos", to end the match with a 2-0 moral victory at Al Ain.
