Vinicius enters the world of sports investment
Brazilian star Vinicius Junior continues to expand his influence in the world of football, inspired by the footsteps of his Real Madrid teammate Killian Mbappe, by investing in club ownership.
Press reports revealed that Vinicius, along with a group of Brazilian and Spanish investors, acquired most of the shares of FC Alfirca, one of the Portuguese second -class clubs.
Ricardo Vicenin, the former owner of the club, confirmed that he sold his share, which ranges between 70 and 80 % of the shares for Vinicius and its partners, in a move that strengthens the club's ambitions to return to the Portuguese Premier League.
Alfirka Club is located in the suburb of Alfrica de Reportago, near Lisbon, and is currently ranked second in the Portuguese second division, just two points behind leaders Tondella, which makes him close to achieving the dream of ascending to the Premier League.
The team has a distinctive history, as he previously played five seasons in the Lights League, but it was subjected to a financial crisis that led to bankruptcy in 2005, before returning strongly in 2021, and he is now on the threshold of returning to the competition between adults.
