De Lycht: This is what we miss, and luck does not come from nothing
Manchester United star Matthias de Liecht appeared in press statements, after the 1-0 loss against Tottenham, in the 25th round of the Premier League.
"If you lose, it will never be enough. We can talk about personal problems and injuries, but Tottenham has the same problems. If you lose, it will never be enough," the player said.
He added: "We played well and created some opportunities. But if you lose 1-0, you did not score and receive a goal, so we needed to improve on both sides."
He continued: "I think the urgency and hunger for registration, these things may be missing, but this does not only fall on the attackers, but also in the midfield and defenders. It is a collective thing and we certainly need improvement."
He added, "I think we have lost the thickness, especially in the Premier League, if you lose confidence, you lose the match."
Regarding the injuries: "We still have a basic squad that includes players from the first team. There is no excuse. It is not good to lose five players in one week, but this is part of football, part of life."
"I think you should deserve luck, at the present time, it seems that we don't deserve it, I don't believe that luck comes from nothing."
