Italian press reports confirmed that Juventus has activated the compulsory purchase item in goalkeeper de Gregory, to become a permanent player in the ranks of the old lady, after he was loaned from Monza since the beginning of the 2024/2025 season.

According to the "Futbol Italy" website, De Gregorio's participation in Juventus 2/1 victory over Como, last week, was the condition that activated the compulsory purchase item in his contract.

Thus, the Italian derby meeting against Inter Milan will be the first match for the Italian goalkeeper as a permanent deal with the old lady, although the club has not announced the official signing yet.

Juventus has paid 4.5 million euros to borrow the goalkeeper from Monza, and will now pay an additional 13.5 million euros, along with 2 million euros as incentives, to ensure that he continues at the Allianz Stadium next summer.

Reports indicated that De Gregorio was a goal for Liverpool during the last summer transfer window, but he did not move to the English Premier League.
