The Zamalek Club Board, headed by Hussein Labib, announced, in an official statement today, Friday, the appointment of Portuguese coach Jose Pisero as technical director of the first team, with a contract that extends for a season and a half.

Pisero arrived in Cairo on Thursday evening, after reaching a final agreement with the Zamalek administration to take over the team during the next stage, in the framework of the club's endeavor to achieve technical stability and compete for the championships.

The Board of Directors decided to thank the Swiss coach, Coesian Gross, and his assistant apparatus for the period they spent with the team, confirming his appreciation for their efforts, and also assigned the financial management to quickly settle their dues.

The Board of Directors approved the formation of the Planning Committee for the Football Sector headed by Hussein Labib, and the membership of Hazem Imam, Ahmed Hossam Mido and Amr Al -Janaini, provided that the committee undertakes a comprehensive strategy to advance the sector according to professional criteria in technical, administrative, and financial aspects.

The contract with Jose Pisero came based on the nomination of the Planning Committee, which studied several training options before settling, due to his extensive experience in training clubs and teams, including his successful experiences with Porto and Sporting Lisbon.

The Board of Directors concluded its statement by emphasizing its respect and appreciation for the aspirations of the fans of Zamalek, stressing that no effort is saved to achieve the club's goals and reach it to the position that is worthy of it as the largest sports castle in Egypt.
