Angel de Maria, the star of the Portuguese team, believes that his compatriot Lionel Messi is the best throughout history, not Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
"His statements do not surprise me, I played with him 4 years in Real Madrid, and he always works to be the best."
He added: "Unfortunately for Renaldo, he was born in the wrong generation, because there was another person (Messi)."
