Real Madrid is preparing to take an important step regarding the future of its young defender, Raul Asensio, after the distinguished performance he presented with the team this season 2024/2025.

According to reliable Italian journalist "Fabrizio Romano", Real Madrid is planning to renew the Asensio contract, as initial contacts began in December, amid great relief within the club for its level of development and brilliance since its escalation of the first team.

Asensio, the 21 -year -old, was promoted to the first team in July 2024, and soon imposed himself in the basic formation, taking advantage of the injuries that struck the defense line, before his worth was proven to stay within the coach's plans.

Another season remains in his current contract, as it ends on June 30, 2026, but Real Madrid seeks to secure its continuation with a new long -term contract.

During this season, Asensio played 31 games with Real Madrid in various competitions, and presented one decisive pass without scoring any goals, to confirm that he is one of the most prominent emerging defensive talents in the Royal Club.
