The Spanish club Real Madrid sent an honorary message to its former captain, Sergio Ramos, after announcing that he would officially join the Monterey Mexican during the current winter transfer window.

Montere announced the contract with the 38 -year -old veteran defender, after he successfully passed the medical examinations, to start in a new experience in the North American continent after his departure from Seville in the summer of 2024, where he remained without a club for 6 months.

Real Madrid did not miss the opportunity to send a special greeting to his legend, as he wrote through his official account on the "X" platform: "Sergio Ramos will join Monterrey, the number that one of our club's legends chose is 93, in honor of all Real Madrid fans, it is the minute number that changed our history ".

The number 93 holds a special indication, as it refers to Ramos's historic goal in the 2014 European Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, when he scored a deadly header who gave the royal a draw, to complete his uprising and win 4/1, achieving his tenth title.

By joining Monterrey, Ramos will have the opportunity to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, where the team will be in the fifth group alongside Inter Milan, Argentine River Plate, and Japan's Urawa Reds.
