
Bayern Munich ends the loan of Gabriel Fidovic to Mainz
Bayern Munich announced today, Tuesday, that the loan of its young striker Gabriel Vidovic to Mainz, due to his lack of participation with the team during the first half of the season.
Fidovic, 21, moved to Mainz on loan until the end of the season, but the Bayern administration decided to restore it early after assessing his position with the German team.
"Vidovic is a talented striker and we put great hopes on him, but unfortunately he did not participate with Mainz at the rate we were hoping, so we agreed to end the loan early," said Christophe Freud, Sports Director of Bayern Munich, on the club's official website.
This decision came in the wake of the transfer of French striker Matthias Tail to Tottenham on loan until the end of the season, in a deal that includes the final purchase option for the English club.
It is reported that Fidovic joined Bayern Munich in 2016 and his contract with the Bavarian club extends until 2026.
