Saturday 01-02-2025
Barcelona won the green light from the Barcelona municipality to use the Luis Companis stadium in Montaguick until the end of the current season, to solve the stadium problem for the El Clásico match against its traditional rivals Real Madrid.

The council’s decision came after the Rolling Stones team was canceled in the stadium next May, a reservation that would affect Barcelona’s use of the stadium, and Barcelona had hosted the matches this season in the Olympic stadium in light of the continued renewal of its primary stadium Spotfai Camp Nou.

After confirming the cancellation of the reservation, the club administration was quick to communicate with the Barcelona municipality to request the extension of the stadium exploitation contract until the end of the season, which was officially approved.

Currently, Barcelona is working to complete the official procedures to activate the extension in the coming days, and at the same time, the club continues to plan to return to Spotfai Camp Nou as soon as possible, as it seeks to finish the season at its historic stadium after the completion of the work.

Barcelona was scheduled to leave the Montguek stadium on March 31, but the delay in the renewal of Camp Nou prompted him to search for solutions to ensure the completion of the season in the best possible circumstances.
