Salah: This is how I scored my goal, and I was not thinking about this number
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah appeared in press statements after winning at night (2-1) in the seventh round of the Champions League.
The Egyptian star said: "Reaching 50 European goals with Liverpool? I hope it is not less than that, but I am very proud. I was not thinking of this number. My goal was to help the team win."
He added: The Lille team has a really good play plan and did not defeat for 21 games, so they are a very difficult team. I am happy that we were able to win that match.
On his goal: "We got the ball and played Cortis [Jones] the ball very well in the end and managed to score."
"Night stops, but they played the counter -attack and managed to score. The clean nets are very important to us and our defense line."
On Harvey Elliot: "He was injured at the beginning of the season and it was difficult for him. I am always here for him, he is a great boy. When you want to win the largest championships, you need a great team."
And for the Liverpool team, which won the Champions League in 2019: "We are now with a different coach and different players, we have three, four, five, six of that team."
