Press reports revealed a trend among Saudi national team officials to change the host stadium to face China in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
According to a report published by Al-Riyadiah newspaper The Saudi national team management is considering moving the stadium for the China match in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup to Dammam or Riyadh.
Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam is subject to, The first stadiums nominated to host the Saudi-China match, in addition to the “Ego” stadium of Al-Ettifaq Club, and “Awal Park” in Riyadh.
The Saudi national team will play its match against China on the 20th of next March, and then head to Tokyo, to face Japan, on the 25th of the same month.
