The Manchester United player files a lawsuit against his former club

Manchester United winger Anthony has sued Ajax after he claimed they illegally fined him hundreds of thousands of pounds in the days before completing his £85m move to Old Trafford.

When United and Ajax entered negotiations over a potential move to the Premier League club in the summer of 2022, Anthony was frustrated by the slow pace of the talks.

During that Period, the Brazilian missed some training sessions and did not participate in the third match of the season against Sparta Rotterdam even though he was not suffering from an injury. Ajax was upset by the Brazilian player's attitude and fined him three times for his absence without permission.

Two weeks later, United agreed to meet Anthony's asking price and he moved to Old Trafford, but before completing his transfer Note that Ajax has deducted the fine money from his salary.

And now, nearly 18 months later, the player is trying to recover the money after accusing Ajax of “illegal” behavior according to the newspaper AD Dutch.
