The Italian club Juventus is intensifying its efforts to sign Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo, in the current winter Mercato.
The Italian newspaper “La Repubblica” mentioned in a report Juventus is close to signing Araujo on loan.
The newspaper added that Juventus may officially announce the contract with Araujo within the week. Next.
Araujo’s contract expires in the summer of 2026 with Barcelona, and the club has been working on renewing his contract for several months.
For his part, Gerard Romero, a journalist close to the Catalan club, said that Barcelona denied the existence of any agreement with Juventus regarding Araujo, but he confirmed the existence of negotiations between Barcelona and several clubs regarding the Uruguayan defender.
