French club Lyon rejects a Saudi offer to include Saeed Benrahma

The French club Lyon rejected an offer submitted by the Saudi club NEOM to contract with the Algerian winger Said Benrahma during the current winter transfer period. According to the French newspaper “L’Equipe”, the offer included a loan to Benrahma with a mandatory purchase option worth more than 7 million euros. However, the Lyon administration decided to reject the offer.


Said Benrahma, 29 years old, joined Lyon in January 2024, coming From England's West Ham in a loan deal, before it turned into a permanent transfer last summer, Benrahma has a contract with Lyon until June 2027, and his market value is estimated at 15 million euros, according to the Transfer Market website.


It is expected that talk about Benrahma’s future will continue during the winter transfer period, especially since the Algerian winger is receiving interest from several Saudi clubs, which may open the way for a possible transfer in the future.
