Kohler talks about the loss from Chabab Belouizdad

Ahly coach Marcel Kohler confirmed that his team's match against CS Belouizdad was strong and violent.

Al-Ahly lost to Chabab Belouizdad with a score of 1-0 in a match held yesterday evening, Friday, within the framework of the fourth round of the group stage in the African Champions League.

Kohler said in the press conference after the match: “It was a strong and violent match. For the first time we lost in a very long time in the African Champions League.”

He added :"The opponent played a good match, but he did not create many chances on goal, and the goal shot was not supposed to be dealt with in this way. The timing of the goal was difficult."

He continued: “Today’s defeat will not affect us in the group standings, in which we are performing well, and it can be said that this loss is not what makes us anxious. We will think about what comes next and we will work to finish the group stage in the lead.”

He explained: "Belouizdad's superiority in front of us? If we calculate the team's attempts, we will find that they are very few and most of them are long balls. The team relied on set pieces."

He pointed out: "We did not play the way we played in Cairo, because today we lost the ball more than once while we were in possession. There was clear haste, while the opponent was fiercer than us."
